Winter sessions to most seem like a crazy idea, it’s cold, the weather can be pants and most landscapes are dead.
But to me, dead is beautiful in the right light and you can almost be made to think its a whole other season.
I shot these images of Evie today (February 10th) five minutes into the session the heavens opened and it poured down, but look at what we got between the showers and despite it being a windy 8 degrees.
These are some of my favourite images of Evie although they cost me £5 worth of Robucks!
Yes, she charges me for photo shoots now if I have an Idea in mind, think she may make a good businesswoman some day 😉
I haven’t done a hat shoot with her for a long time and today was the day to rock another one, it annoys me how good she looks in hats I can’t seem to pull it off as well as she can.
I’m still annoyed at myself for not noticing that blommin watch on her wrist until I was editing the images 🙁

Winter shoots
A few things I will say is to wear lots of layers so once we get warm the coats can be removed. Coats and body warmers can look bulky and block the face.
Add knee socks to wellies or boots, add cute hats and even bring a favourite blanket.
Where hair down for lots of movement
