Motherhood Session Wrexham | These sessions are up there as one of my favourites, capturing how mum interacts with their child or children makes my heart happy.
Alfie is so sweet and his mum is everything to him, I could see the connection as soon as they got out of the car. Kim is a hairdresser you can find her here and it shows in the images, they both have awesome hair.
For meadow shoots, I love baby blues, whites, pinks and greys they just work so well with the buttercups.
About the session
We decided to shoot this session after school which is great for children as they have been cooped up in school all day so getting outside and running about with me outdoors is easy for them and a chance to burn off some energy.
It also doesn’t eat into Mum’s weekends meaning she can do those things we all save up for our days off.
The last 3 hours of the day have the best light, it is just pretty and creates so many opportunities for gorgeous photos.
I found this awesome tree and long grass meadow whilst out walking a few weekend beforehand, the farmer had just done his first cut of the season on the day of our shoot, so Alfie couldn’t resist throwing the grass up as there were piles of it 🙂 there is an image below. It was everywhere 🙂
Extra’s to bring along to shoots
Hayfever remedies are worth taking this time of year before heading out to meet me, but if you haven’t had a chance bring some with you.
It’s also worth packing some water, a snack, change of clothes and maybe some suntan lotion.
That evening was also one of our first real warm spring evenings it was gorgeous and not a snowflake in sight! Is anyone else fed up with cold and snow?

Dandelion Heads | Clock heads | Fairy heads
No matter what you call them who doesn’t love blowing clock heads and making a wish or shouting 1 o’clock, 2 o’clock? It was one of my favourite things to do as a child. I’d never get past 5 o’clock and would have to avoid my best mate blowing them into my mouth!
